Denver Rental Inspections
On January 18, 2022, the City of Denver released the inspection compliance, and licensing details for the Residential Rental Program (RRP) associated with the “Healthy Residents for All” ordinance passed by Denver City Council in March 2021. As part of this program, all rental owners must be licensed to offer, provide, or operate a residential rental and will need to obtain a passing inspection from a certified, private home inspector and to pay the license fee to receive their license, which is good for four years unless ownership changes.
City Council President Stacie Gilmore said there are about 54,000 rental properties in the city whose owners could require a license under the new law with only a handful of inspectors that are eligible to perform these inspection services.
Axium is thrilled to announce that we are able to add this service to our already extensive menu of services.
Rental Owners must have their properties licensed and inspected by January 1, 2023. For more information, please visit the City of Denver’s Residential Rental Property Page.
